Urodacus planimanus

This scorpion is only found in South Western, Western Australia in the hills around Perth. It lives a life similar to Urodacus manicatus and elongatus, occupying scrapes under rocks in well forested and scrubland areas where large rocks are found. A shallow burrow is excavated under a rock, with a scrape used as a living area during active periods similar to U. elongatus.
This scorpion posesses powerful chela(hands), capable of seizing well armoured robust beetles which it flips over and stings from underneath.
